Dr. Zelener is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
She works with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. She welcomes the LGBTQ community and
those with substance dependencies.
Dr. Zelener has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and family problems. Young people
may struggle with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, as well as ADHD and other learning difficulties.
Often, they turn to poorly-developed coping skills. This can lead to problems such as refusing homework
and chores, defiance, anger, and, in some instances, self-harm. Dr. Zelener also works with the special
needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Life and work stressors, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD often contribute to relationship
difficulties. Individual, couples and family counseling can help families return to peace and
compatibility. Management of health issues such as obesity, cancer, chronic pain, and decline associated
with aging can also have improved outcomes with individual and family support.
Dr. Zelener is trained in empirically based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy and
dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused strategies, token reinforcement, and anger
management.
